This is the 1600 bed hospital that this woman refers to. I was harmed by a psychiatrist there who failed to recognize a panic attack and failed miserably to detect a serious thyroid problem and a tumor. There course of “treatment” was to hold me in a locked down psych ward for over 5 days – until my United Healthcare benefits ran out – and give me several strong psych meds at one time. I went to the hospital my self…was not put there and I TRUSTED Florida Hospital to check me out, determine the problem, and release me. Instead, I was NEVER diagnosed with a thyroid condition, I lost my job and career and my hyperthyroid condition just became much worse. When I did leave the hospital, I could see the right side of my neck protruding – the tumor had finally grown to the point that it was visible even to me. But the DOCTORS (shudder to even give them that title…) couldn’t see this or diagnosis thyroid even with the blood tests that they did? It has been a hard twelve years for me because of Florida Hospital. On top of all of this – and my story is long and rocky and is being published…. – FLORIDA HOSPITAL FAILED TO GIVE ME MY MEDICAL RECORDS OR RELEASE THEM WHEN REQUESTED BY ATTORNEYS, DOCTORS AND VOCATIONAL REHAB.,..Finally, in 2012 I aggressively went after the records and VR did as well. This time the patient chart notes were released – right before the hospital had a legal right to shred them.

This saddens me greatly because again – on top of all of this – I WAS A SEVENTH DAY ADVENTIST….I left the church because I could not separate the religion from the hospital. I am currently in “talks” with Florida Hospital’s “risk management” department. It is unfortunate that one of the largest hc systems in the country can LITERALLY GET AWAY WITH THIS EGREGIOUS ACTIVITY….and it seems that they may never be held accountable. Shame on the Adventist Healthcare administration…there are special places in hell for the likes of those who condone such activity.
