Abuse: A Loma Linda University Study

This study shows that physical, emotional, and sexual abuse in the Adventist community matches that of society in general. Watch the dramatic testimony of several victims of abuse and how they managed to overcome the dark experiences of their childhood.

As I was watching this video, I wondered if LomaLindaUniversity researchers will ever decide to a similar study about the ultimate kind of abuse: abortion.

A Church that does not believe in the sacredness of Human life at its most innocent time, what can you and I expect but other satanic practices to ensue! For instance, when has Roberts ever spoken about sin, yes specific sins like the ones mentioned in this report?

Keep up the good work you started,

    Hugo

    • Hugo,

You are the one who challenged me to adopt the true pro-life agenda. I want to thank you for that and for encouraging me along the years to continue in this ministry on behalf of those who cannot speak on their own behalf. Since then, I have received encouraging words from many others, and now there are several web sites promoting the pro-life views. To God be the glory.

I don’t know whether one day the Adventist leadership will wake up and realize that this is a cancer which reduces the effectiveness of the Gospel, but we need to pray and fast towards that end. Only God knows what the future holds.

When I was young, if someone had predicted that one day our church would allow our own medical institutions to offer abortions on demand to their patients without impunity, I would have thought that this would never happen. Unfortunately this took place back in 1970. What a shame!

  2. CONGRATULATIONS LOMA LINDA!!

We have been lecturing about abuse and its effects on physical, emotional and spiritual life since 1991. Some however, have opposed this unfortunate truth and yet thousands have benefited from what they have learned and how they have healed. The Recovery programs we have written are being facilitated worldwide, with wonderful results, in many denominations.

Your video is wonderful! We are proud to be Adventists, yet we hurt for those in our ranks who have suffered so deeply. Both of us are victims as well, and our daughters suffered some as a result. We understand completely the victim’s pain! It’s high time to get off the blame-game, damning the wounded, and get on to looking at the generational curse as written in Exodus, and proven throughout history. Thank you for putting your great name behind this truth!

    • Roy,

I fully agree! If this topic is of interest to you I would suggest that you take the time to read the article I recently wrote dealing with this topic which was publisheed by Advindicate. There is a lively discussion taking place there right now. Here is the link:

  3. Thank you for giving a voice to those of us that have suffered child abuse in silence for far to long. It is a comfort to know there are people who listen and care about Gods children that are suffering in silence. May God find new ways to end the silence so more children do not suffer and healing may begin as soon as possible. God Bless

    • Kim,

      Thanks for your comments!

God bless you and your loved ones.

  5. we need to be careful about what we deem abuse. When its “all good” abuse is whatever the accuser wants it to be to strike a blow for his or her agenda..
