If we are the “People of the Book,” Why can’t we get an Answer from the Book” by Nic Samojluk

bible-8

Pastor Ted Wilson, the president of the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists, has been reminding us that we are “the people of the Book.” If this is the case, how come we can’t get an answer dealing with abortion from “the Book?

I and other Adventist prolifers have written to the General Conference more than once asking for the reason our church decided to “lean towards abortion” back in 1970, and why we allowed our Adventist hospitals to offer elective abortions to their patients beginning on that date. The answer I and others received in response to our query was: “Read our Guidelines on Abortion.”

Is the document known as guidelines on abortion in the Bible? The answer is “NO.” It was created by Adventist theologians who were given the task of finding a justification for what the Law given by God to humanity forbids: “You shall not murder.”

Compare this answer with the response we get when someone askes: “Why do we keep the Sabbath as the sacred day of rest?” The answer we get is from the Book: “Read Exodus 20.”

Why can’t we get a similar response from “the Book” when we inquire for the reason our church abandoned the pro-life policy on human life and embraced the pro-choice/pro-abortion position on this life and death issue? Why can’t we get an answer from “the Book” on this question?

Do you see a problem here? Why can’t our church show some consistency when dealing with the right to life of the unborn? Why when asked about the Sabbath we are directed to the Bible, but when dealing with killing—something that the Book forbids—we are led to a tradition established in 1970 by mere fallible men?

I suggest that you watch a video created by a young evangelist named Andrew Michell, and then tell me what you think regarding this anomalous situation in the church:

  1. It is good to see someone relentlessly hound the SDA leadership (leadership used loosely) on this heinous crime wave plaguing the SDA crime syndicate.
Church or Crime Syndicate? Take the bible based quiz below and you decide. Read the verses and answer the associated questions.
    Proverbs 29:10
Men of bloodshed hate the blameless, But the upright are concerned for his life.
Would the unborn baby be considered blameless?
    Genesis 9:8-10
Then YAHUAH spoke to Noah and to his sons with him, saying, [9] “Now behold, I Myself do establish My covenant with you, and with your descendants after you; [10] and with every living creature that is with you, the birds, the cattle, and every beast of the earth with you; of all that comes out of the ark, even every beast of the earth.
Would an unborn baby be considered a living creature by those who don’t consider them human beings?
    Leviticus 20:2-5
“You shall also say to the sons of Israel: ‘Any man from the sons of Israel or from the aliens sojourning in Israel who gives any of his offspring to Molech, shall surely be put to death; the people of the land shall stone him with stones. [3] I will also set My face against that man and will cut him off from among his people, because he has given some of his offspring to Molech, so as to defile My sanctuary and to profane My holy name. [4] If the people of the land, however, should ever disregard that man when he gives any of his offspring to Molech, so as not to put him to death, [5] then I Myself will set My face against that man and against his family, and I will cut off from among their people both him and all those who play the harlot after him, by playing the harlot after Molech.
Who is the Molech (king) of women having abortions?
    Psalm 5:5-6
The boastful shall not stand before Your eyes; You hate all who do iniquity. [6] You destroy those who speak falsehood; YAHUAH abhors the man of bloodshed and deceit.
    Are abortionists men of bloodshed?
    Psalm 11:5
YAHUAH tests the righteous and the wicked, And the one who loves violence His soul hates.
Is the dismemberment of live babies, called abortion, a violent crime?
    Psalm 106:37-40
They even sacrificed their sons and their daughters to the demons, [38] And shed innocent blood, The blood of their sons and their daughters, Whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan; And the land was polluted with the blood. [39] Thus they became unclean in their practices, And played the harlot in their deeds. [40] Therefore the anger of YAHUAH was kindled against His people And He abhorred His inheritance [remnant].
Did YAHUAH really hate His people for shedding defenceless little children? (hint: don’t dispute scripture)
    Proverbs 6:16-19 NASB
There are six things which YAHUAH hates, Yes, seven which are an abomination to Him: [17] Haughty eyes, a lying tongue, And hands that shed innocent blood, [18] A heart that devises wicked plans, Feet that run rapidly to evil, [19] A false witness who utters lies, And one who spreads strife among brothers.
Why does shedding innocent blood seem to keep coming up?
    Jeremiah 12:8
“My inheritance [remnant] has become to Me Like a lion in the forest; She has roared against Me; Therefore I have come to hate her.
Could this also apply to us today?
    Hosea 9:15
All their evil is at Gilgal; Indeed, I came to hate them there! Because of the wickedness of their deeds I will drive them out of My house! I will love them no more; All their princes [leaders] are rebels.
    Could abortion qualify as wicked?
Is the SDA Organization really the remnant that keeps the commandments of YAHUAH and the faith of Yahushua?
What is the definition of remnant?

  2. Really Nic, I am back to being moderated? Why do you fear truth?

    • Thanks, Richard, for the well documented biblical comments you posted!

      Nic Samojluk

    • What did you lead to suggest that I fear truth?

      Nic Samojluk

      • Sorry Nic, that remark was just my knee-jerk reaction to seeing my comment requiring approval before posting. Just delete it, I do understand safeguarding site content in this filthy world we live in.

      • I did not design WordPress, the system I am using. It was designed by someone who felt that it was beneficial to have each comment approved by the site operator. Thanks for your explanation. I appreciate your input.

      • Thanks Nic, I think I am a little sensitive to censorship when it is used to suppress truth. Not saying you are, but I have personally experienced the actions of many who do. The latest being Advindicate. Richard

      • I know what you mean. I was banned by “Spectrum” until the 28 of March and by the “Worldwide
Adventist Forums” until April 9. I am familiar with the feeling of frustration. Nevertheless, I am glad that there is “Fulcrum,” which did publish an article on abortion and some people are still actively participating in it.
