Abortion the Most Serious Adventist Problem, by Nic Samojluk

Abortion 9

There are many moral issues affecting the welfare and credibility of the Adventist church:

  1. Homosexuality
  2. Sexual abuse
  3. Transgenderism
  4. Women’s ordination
  5. Unity
  6. Apathy
  7. Abortion

None of the issues listed above can compare in gravity with the killing of innocent unborn children. The violation of none of them normally ends with the death of an innocent victim. If the blood of Abel claimed for justice, imagine how loud must be the voice of the millions of victims of abortion.

The Lord destroyed the flood generation because the earth was full of violence. The violence perpetrated against the most innocent and most vulnerable members of society is reaching monumental proportions and God will have to intervene again in defense of the unborn.

Most Adventists are not concerned about this problem because they rely of the predictions made by Ellen White about the eventual triumph of the Remnant church forgetting that God’s promises are contingent on human response.

In the Old Testament we have the record of the promise the Lord made to the House of Priest Eli. When this man of God failed to discipline his children, the Lord cancelled the promise he had made to him.

“Therefore the LORD, the God of Israel, declares: ‘I promised that members of your family would minister before me forever.’ But now the LORD declares: ‘Far be it from me! Those who honor me I will honor, but those who despise me will be disdained. [1 Sam 2:30]

As long as God’s Remnant was faithful to all ten of God’s Commandments, there was hope for the world. “You are the salt of the earth,” Jesus said. God is about to do what he predicted in the last book of the Bible. He is about to spit the church of Laodicea out of his mouth.

When a wolf wears sheep’s clothing it becomes very dangerous for the safety of sheep. But when the wolf wears shepherds clothing his presence among the sheep becomes lethal.

Of course the church of Laodicea can choose to repent before it is too late. May this be the eventual outcome of the Adventist denomination!

The Baptists ( and others ) have their “once saved always saved” deadly deception. Adventists have their deadly deception too- “the ship is going through, so stay on the ship”. Tragic, because most members are complicit in the sins you listed, and the Corporate, TradeMARKED SDA is fallen, is fallen. It has robbed God of tithes and offerings by stuffing hundreds of millions into pension funds instead of funding the worldwide mission. It hauls brethren before the courts , denies the identity of the anti-christ, and seeks to identify with the daughters of the whore by changing our distinctive Doctrine.
I could go on, but enough has already been listed to convince a candid mind that the once pure woman is now part of Babylon.

Rev 18:4 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.

    • A sister to fallen Babylon

In the past, some Adventists have asked whether the Adventist Church might be in danger of becoming Babylon. This is probably unlikely because the description of Babylon in the book of Revelation does not fit our SDA Church. Nevertheless, Ellen White did state that we might be in danger of becoming a “sister to fallen Babylon.” Here is what she said:

      “We must as a people arouse and cleanse the camp of Israel. Licentiousness, unlawful intimacy, and unholy practices are coming in among us in a large degree; and ministers who are handling sacred things are guilty of sin in this respect. They are coveting their neighbors’ wives, and the seventh commandment is broken. We are in danger of becoming a sister to fallen Babylon, of allowing our churches to become corrupted, and filled with every foul spirit, a cage for every unclean and hateful bird; and will we be clear unless we make decided movements to cure the existing evil?” {21MR 380.1}

My question is: If the sin of adultery among Adventists prompted her to warn us that we were in danger of becoming “a sister to fallen Babylon,” I wonder what she would say today knowing that thousand of innocent babies were killed in the medical institutions she help found.

I hope our leaders will humbly admit that we are in real danger of becoming morally irrelevant. Time is of the essence, if we do not repent of this great evil, we run the risk of being spat out of the Lord’s mount as predicted in the last book of the Bible.
