My Observations About our Adventist Health Care System, by Nic Samojluk

I would like to share with you a few personal observations connected with the Adventist Healthcare offered to those considering abortion as a solution to a unwanted pregnancy. Please, read the following comments I found at our Adventist Healthcare web site:

“How will you know what decision is right for you?

It’s not easy to decide to end a pregnancy. You may need some time to think about your choices. Counseling may help you to decide what is best for you. If you’re comfortable, you can start by talking with your doctor. Family planning clinics also offer counseling to help you decide what is best for you. You may also want to talk with someone close to you who understands how pregnancy and “. Carefully think through your choices, which are to:

  • Have a baby, and support and raise your child to adulthood.
  • Have a baby, and place the baby for adoption.
  • Have an abortion.”

  1. Notice the emphasis is on the pregnant woman facing an unwanted pregnancy.
  2. No mention is made to the right and interest or welfare of the unborn baby.
  3. The focus is on the woman’s choices. The unborn baby choice is non-existent.
  4. What is “best for you” is repeated more than once—what is best for the baby is not even mentioned.
  5. How “raising a child would affect your life” is addressed, but no mention is made regarding how abortion will affect the baby.

Everything seems to be slanted towards the abortion choice as a solution to en unwanted pregnancy problem. No reference is made to what the Bible teaches regarding the shedding of the blood of an innocent human being nor to the biblical murder prohibition contained in the Decalogue.

All this reminds me of the attitude of Pilate who, when faced with the request to authorize the killing of an innocent man, decided to wash his hands and thus pretend that he was innocent of the crime being committed under his care.

All the abortion performed inside the Adventist medical facilities since 1970 are recorded in the books of heaven and the church will have to answer for the crimes perpetrated against those waiting to see the light of day. On that day, no excuse will be allowed for depriving the unborn of their right to life.

The Adventist Church would do well to repent of this terrible sin against humanity and seek the forgiveness freely offered to all those who depart from the right path. Notice what thee Bible says about this:

“Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon” (Isaiah 55:6-7).

Let’s pray for this to take place before it is too late. Every day, it is actually too late for thousands of unfortunate victims of abortion.
